On 22-23 March 2007, the EU Water Conference will be held in Brussels. To reach a wider audience, the conference will be webstreamed. People who are unable to participate in person may attend the conference online in real time, or watch the videotape of the conference afterwards.
"It is the first time we use this tool, and we see great potential," says Nicholas Hanley, Head of Communication and Governance Unit at DG Environment. "Not only can we reach a wider audience. It is also a way to make events greener as fewer people travel."
