European Bank for Reconstruction and Development invites comments on Public Information Policy

Date published:

The EBRD's Public Information Policy (PIP) was last reviewed in 2006.  The review date, originally set for 2009,  was brought forward to 2007-2008 so as to coincide with the review of the Environmental Policy, in response to a request made by a number of stakeholders at the 2007 Annual Meeting in Kazan.

On 20 November 2007, the Bank issued an Invitation to Comment, asking the public to comment on the basis of the existing PIP. In this invitation the Bank specified a number of proposed changes envisaged for the PIP: a set of specific commitments relating to disclosure of environmental information would be included; and the Clarifications regarding confidential information would be incorporated in the revised Policy.

Members of the public are invited to send comments on the draft revised PIP to [email protected]. The deadline for public comment is 9 April 2008.
