Austria: Opponents of a route construction project at the EU Committee on Petitions in Brussels

The officially recognized environmental organization "Lebensraum Mattigtal" handed in a petition to the European Parliament's Committee on Petitions dealing with the bypass Mattighofen-Munderfing. The NGO and citizens claim that individuals have no access to "judicial protection in environmental matters" as protected under the Aarhus Convention.
