Global POPs Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers Steering Committee

This website provides information on the first meeting of the Steering Committee to the Global POPs PRTR project. The Global POPs PRTR project is funded though the Global Environmental Facility and is led by UNEP and UNITAR. The project aims to develop national PRTR systems which will meet the inventory reporting requirements of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants. Those national pollutant registers may also fulfill the requirements of the UNECE Protocol on PRTRs to the Aarhus Convention.
