Children's Rights and the Environment

Children have set of rights in relation to the environment in accordance with international law. However, environmental harm prevents children from enjoying these rights. The Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment prepared a report on the topic of Children's rights and the Environment that focuses on the rights of children in relation to the environment, addressing the ways that environmental harm prevents children from enjoying their human rights and the obligations that States have to protect children from such harm.
