Aarhus Convention Pilot Projects

UNITAR and UNECE launched in 2004 a series of pilot projects to assist countries in preparing a National Profile to assess and strengthen capacities to implement the Aarhus Convention. The National Profile preparation process is initiated and facilitated by government and involves various government sectors, as well as stakeholders. Project countries include the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Serbia and Montenegro.
