Greens want to fully implement the Aarhus Convention

Green MP Christiane Brunner urgierte  wants the full implementation of the Aarhus Convention, signed in 1998. Citizens to get information about and participation rights in approval process and environmental rights can prevail in court.  The Committee majority (SPÖ and ÖVP) adjourned this concern by pointing out that the implementation of the Aarhus Convention deeply engaged in the law of the Länder and you still need time to clarify open issues with the country.
