This workshop, which is being organized by the UNECE Working Group on Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, will exchange the latest experience and prepare guidelines on legal, normative, institutional, financial and technical measures to improve environmental monitoring and reporting by enterprises, above all in EECCA countries. The Aarhus Convention secretariat will present on what in practice enterprises would be expected to monitor and report on, and what would be the additional data management tasks of environmental authorities, in States which are party to the Protocol on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers. The Workshop has received financial support from the Government of Poland, UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.
