The 2005 session of the Third World Environmental Congress (3rd WEEC, 2-6 October 2005 Torino, Italy) will be dedicated to citizenship. The Congress will analyze active citizen involvement in environmental management through programs that teach sustainability and solidarity. There will also be examples of best practices and educational programs for people living in residential neighborhoods or depressed areas (like the Brazilian favelas), for the bathers of the Atlantic or Mediterranean beaches and for participative management of resources and the environment. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
