UK: Scottish Government branded 'woeful' as it fails to support environmental campaigners

Campaigners criticize the Scottish Government for inadequate efforts to address the prohibitive expense of environmental legal cases, citing a report submitted to the Aarhus Convention Compliance Committee, which revealed no concrete progress to make access to justice affordable. Environmental organizations call for the UK's judicial reform to remove barriers to access to justice before Christmas to meet the deadline of full compliance with the Aarhus Convention by October 1, 2024.
