Roundtable Identifies Opportunities to Promote Environmental Dimension of SDG 16

During the 2019 Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for Europe, participants shared experiences on promoting the environmental dimension of SDG 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions) at a roundtable that took place in Geneva, Switzerland, on 22 March 2019. The article describes examples, shared during the roundtable, on how countries addressed the challenges related to the rights of the public to timely access information, to participate in decision making on environmental challenges and to ensure effective access to justice in environmental matters.
