Friends of the Earth Cymru (NGO) has to pay Welsh Government œ10,000 after failed M4 Relief Road judicial review challenge. Under the Aarhus Convention those granted leave for judicial reviews on environmental grounds against public bodies, such as governments and local authorities, are covered from having to pay the vast majority of legal costs incurred by those they bring the action against in the eventuality of losing.
