The Republic of Moldova chaired in Geneva a meeting under auspices of the Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters

The press release provides insights to the recent meeting of the Task Force on Access to Information (see http://www.unece.org/index.php?id=53318) that took place in a virtual format on 16-17 November 2020 under the chairmanship of H.E. Ms. Tatiana Molcean, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva. The meeting brought together representatives of governments and stakeholders to exchange information, case studies and good practices for the implementation of the information pillar of the Aarhus Convention. During the meeting there was an exchange of information, good practices and case studies regarding access to information on environment-related product information; access to information on genetically modified organisms; updating the recommendations on electronic information tools; recent developments in  public access to environmental information, including those related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and enforcement of disclosure restrictions in accordance with the Aarhus Convention.
