The Civil Society Platform on Sustainable Consumption and Production (DelibProcessSCP) project (www.scp-dialogue.net) is organizing a series of online lectures/discussions during the year 2009. The lectures will be conducted online in a password-protected Webex platform with video and chatting possibiities. The topics are related to promotion of sustainable consumption and production and civil society actions towards sustainable lifestyles.
The first online lecture is taking place on Wednesday 17th of June at 4.30pm CET. Our first lecturer is Mr. Chris Church, who is working actively in ANPED as well as in London 21, a cross-London network of organisations working on sustainable development. The title of the session is "Linking SCP Policy to Local Action". We will hear examples of successful civil society (CSO) involvements and actions in policy processes at local level and have the possibility to discuss e.g. the impacts of local actions and how they are funded. The main target groups are CSOs working with sustainability issues in local and national level and researchers doing research that supports this work, but everyone interested in the topic can join.
Due to technical limitations there are only 25 places in the first lecture. The registration will happen by first-come first-served basis. After registering you will get instructions on how to log-in to the discussion forum.
