The French Register of Pollutant Releases was launched on the Internet on April 4, 2005. The web site provides the public with access to 14,000 data reports concerning 3,500 industrial plants and 300 breeding sites are accessible to the public. The register presents annual flows of emitted pollutants and waste produced by classified installations and covers 100 pollutants emitted to water, 50 emitted to air (in particular, toxic and carcinogenic substances) and 400 categories of dangerous waste.
